Earlier this summer, I
mourned the deaths of some of my favorite children's authors/illustrators. I'm sad to report that another amazing author has joined their ranks: Else Holmelund Minarik, author of the beloved Little Bear books,
died this week. It is interesting to me that both she and Maurice Sendak died this summer.
Nooo! Really? My boys are eleven and nine, and we still quote Little Bear around here.
ReplyDeleteMy mom, sister, and I regularly say things like, "Little Bear is never tired." (after 30+ years of having read those great stories). My kids know them well, too.
